This is a short report about our youth exchange that took place in Turkey in the city of Mersin.
Our journey together started in Brno and together we went to the airport to Vienna and from Vienna to the airport to Adana in Turkey.
After we successfully reached Turkey, we were picked up by our host family with whom we spent the rest of our week
- Day
The first day started with breakfast with our new host family and then we went to school together where we had a program for the rest of the week. The first day was mainly about getting to know each other and team building. We got acquainted with the environment and also with our new Turkish friends
2. Day
The next day we talked about what culture actually is and what are the differences between our cultures. In the evening there was a Turkish evening where we tasted food and learned something about Turkish culture. Our Turkish friends also took us to the opera in the evening
3. Day
On the third day, we talked about what Erasmus plus actually is and what it can give us in our future life, then we had a session about theater where we actually deepened our cultures. We had lot of fun!
4. Day
The fourth day was mainly sightseeing. We visited an old sacred place called Kanlidivane and an interesting cave. We spent the afternoon at the beach.
5. Day
Our morning started by going on a trip to a local factory of traditional products. We spent the afternoon in animation sessions such as robotics, singing, logical thinking and art.
6. Day
The last day was very emotional. The last moments with our Turkish friends have come. We evaluated the whole project and prepared for a joint dinner when we received our Youthpasses.
We said last goodbye to our families and went back to Czech Republic.
